In the Michigan Senate, I have the honor of representing all the communities that rest along the United States shoreline of Lake St. Clair, including Harsens Island which is located at the heart of the largest freshwater delta in the world.

In between last week's thunderstorms, I was grateful to join representatives from the Detroit Bird Alliance, Audubon Great Lakes, Michigan Department of Natural Resources, and USFWS Fisheries to tour the St. Clair Flats and learn more about how these organizations work together to protect our incredible wetlands and the animals who inhabit them.
