This summer, I’ve spent a lot of time listening to my constituents, and one of the things I hear most often is that prescription drug costs are too high. We know we can’t rely on prescription drug companies to lower prices. That has been the status quo for too long,...

Good news District 4! Yesterday, the Michigan Senate passed my legislation - SB246 and SB247 - to curtail and regulate our hazardous waste industry in Michigan. All Democrats voted for it and every Republican voted no.
Importantly, these bills would stop the expansion of the Wayne Disposal toxic waste facility if the Republican-led Michigan House takes them up to send to the Governor.
Thank you to our residents, local leaders, and Rep. Reggie Miller for partnering with us to get to this point.
I urge Republicans in our region like Rep. Jamie Thompson, Rep. Jim DeSana, and Rep. Rylee Linting to join us in protecting Wayne County from toxic trash and get these bills through the State House! This is not a partisan issue — it’s about protecting our community. ... See MoreSee Less
