Tonight, the Michigan Senate passed my legislation, SB700, which would waive any overpayments that UIA is currently attempting to collect from the pandemic. These families did nothing wrong and are being burdened with paperwork and worry over mistakes that the state made. We should give them a clean slate. And EVERY SENATOR from both sides of the aisle voted YES!

Vocational training is so important to our Downriver schools, which is why I’m proud that we secured $5,000,000 towards the Downriver Career Technical Consortium — adding to the $10,000,000 we secured in 2023.
