Specifically, the legislation would require larger businesses to provide a minimum of 72 hours of earned sick time to full-time employees and expand more flexible requirements to small businesses with fewer than 10 employees. These changes ensure over a million more workers have access to earned sick time, protecting both employees and employers alike. The legislation also puts new measures into place regarding the carry-over of sick time and employee-to-employer notification requirements.
