{"id":5074,"date":"2019-05-21T20:53:14","date_gmt":"2019-05-21T20:53:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/senatedems.com\/wojno\/?p=5074"},"modified":"2019-05-21T20:53:14","modified_gmt":"2019-05-21T20:53:14","slug":"wojno-applauds-fiat-chrysler-jobs-investment-in-warren","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.senatedems.com\/wojno\/2019\/05\/21\/wojno-applauds-fiat-chrysler-jobs-investment-in-warren\/","title":{"rendered":"Wojno Applauds Fiat Chrysler Jobs Investment in Warren"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>LANSING&nbsp;\u2014&nbsp;Sen.&nbsp;<strong>Paul Wojno<\/strong>&nbsp;(D-Warren) has issued the following statement after&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.crainsdetroit.com\/government\/detroit-city-council-state-approve-fca-land-swap-deal-incentives\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Michigan Strategic Fund board unanimously voted today in support of $223.5 million in incentives to allow Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) to invest in its manufacturing facilities in Southeast Michigan<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMacomb County has a long and proud tradition of serving as a manufacturing hub for all kinds of projects, including the automotive industry and Fiat Chrysler. It\u2019s a true testament to the hardworking folks in my district who are ready to get to work crafting the machines that move America. I couldn\u2019t be happier to see continued investment and support from Fiat Chrysler and look forward to the economic boost they\u2019ll bring to Macomb.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incentive package stands to bring more than 6,000 jobs to the region, with the FCA\u2019s $2 billion investment in Warren, Sterling Heights and Dundee facilities forecasted to create nearly 1,483 new jobs.
