Dayna\u00a0<\/span>Polehanki<\/span>\u00a0(D-<\/span>Livonia)<\/span><\/span>\u00a0issued the following statement\u00a0<\/span>on<\/span>\u00a0Gov<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Gretchen Whitmer<\/span>\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>new<\/span>\u00a0executive order\u00a0<\/span>signed today\u00a0<\/span>establishing<\/span>\u00a0the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Advancement, and Potential, or\u00a0<\/span>MiLEAP<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0

\u201cThe more eyes and the more resources we have on Pre-K to Postsecondary education the better. I am excited about the creation of the\u00a0<\/span>MiLEAP<\/span>\u00a0department, which will ensure that Pre-K for All and Sixty by 30 are achieved and that these building blocks of a world<\/span>–<\/span>class education for Michigan students can outlast even Gov<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Whitmer\u2019s administration<\/span>.<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
