(Sept. 15, 2021) \u2014 Sen. <strong>Mallory McMorrow <\/strong>(D-Royal Oak) has issued the following statement regarding today\u2019s announcement by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on <a href=\"https:\/\/nbc25news.com\/news\/local\/gov-whitmer-visits-flint-to-announce-first-grants-of-the-mich-mobility-funding-platform\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/nbc25news.com\/news\/local\/gov-whitmer-visits-flint-to-announce-first-grants-of-the-mich-mobility-funding-platform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">expanding electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the state<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThese Michigan Mobility Funding Platform grants announced today by Governor Whitmer help foster the ideal environment in Michigan to attract and maintain talent, create good-paying jobs, and support sustainable, safe and accessible mobility for everyone. The projects supported by these grants offer a glimpse into the future with companies who have already begun the journey of partnering with state departments and local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur success in this space has to be sustainable, innovative, and accessible to all \u2014 and I&#8217;m thrilled to see grants awarded to companies supporting door-to-door solutions, expanding transit opportunities to Metro Detroit, and ensuring Michiganders of all abilities have a reliable way to get to where they want to go.
