Yesterday, the Michigan Senate passed Senate Bills 111-114, a bill package to help better detect and address cases of elder abuse and exploitation. Championed by Senator Veronica Klinefelt, this legislation strengthens penalties for elder abuse and financial exploitation offenses while also working to expand prevention efforts.
