Today, I offered a Resolution and introduced legislation in honor of World Suicide Prevention Day.
My Resolution addressed the importance of continued investment in mental health resources and efforts to address the stigma of suicidal ideation. Donna's Law is a bill to allow Michiganders to voluntarily add themselves to 'do-not-sell' lists for the purchases of firearms. It’s a proven tool in other states - it reduces suicide by allowing people to help themselves simply by making it more difficult to purchase a firearm.
